Kathy Campbell founded AMPM, Inc. in 1997, a company providing medical billing and practice management services to a variety of clients and specialties nationwide, and has been its President and CEO since its inception. Through her leadership, AMPM has grown from its roots as a services company to our new brand, PUREDI, with the introduction of our proprietary revenue cycle management software system.
Kathy has shaped a company culture committed to innovation, expertise, and customer service. She has built a business model that is driven by using technology to streamline processes, reduce costs, and expedite reimbursement for our clients. As the healthcare industry evolved, so has Kathy’s desire to stay ahead of the curve.
For nearly two decades, Kathy has focused on helping physicians find profitability in their practices, guiding physicians through the business of medicine with successful outcomes that improve the bottom line. With a foundation as a college basketball athlete, a coach, and an educator, she knows how to lead and train a winning team.
Kathy holds a B.S. and a M.S. in Education from Texas State University and is a Certified Healthcare Billing & Management Executive (CHBME) through the Healthcare Billing & Management Association (HBMA).
Kathy is an outdoor enthusiast, loves to travel and incorporates hiking and biking into most adventures.
Chief Financial Officer
Dottie Dawson joined PUREDI in 2003, bringing more than 30 years of corporate financial management experience to her role as CFO. She took the lead in developing user-friendly, customizable tools for financial analysis and reporting that enable PUREDI to deliver on a fundamental promise–to help medical providers understand and grow their practice as a business.
Previously, Dottie was VP and Controller, then Senior VP and Treasurer, at Catherines Stores Corporation. During her long tenure at Catherines, she was a key player in a leveraged buy-out, an IPO, and the eventual sale of the company. She understands how to drive the financial trajectory of a business, and she places powerful information into the hands of providers to enable them to reach their goals.
Dottie is a sports enthusiast, news junkie, and an avid Kindle reader who loves to travel.
Director of Human Resources
Kim Campbell joined PUREDI in 2005 to develop the company’s most important asset–its people–into teams of excellence committed first to serving our clients. She has sought to develop processes that empower managers and people to make decisions, encourage a culture of learning, and focus on coaching and developing others.
With 30 years of management experience in both non-profit and for-profit institutions, Kim understands organizational development and the challenges that companies must navigate through their lifespan. She draws upon her training and experience to help individuals find a good fit within the organization, which has been essential in shaping the PUREDI workplace culture.
Kim holds a B.S. degree in English and Secondary Education from Texas State University, a M.Div. degree from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University, and a M.S. degree in Counseling from The University of Memphis. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Austin Human Resources Management Association. Kim serves as the President of her neighborhood’s HOA Board of Directors.

Director of Coding and Compliance
Shannon’s career in the healthcare field spans 20 years, with 14 years as a coding professional. In her current role she serves as all things compliance, supervising all coding services provided to PUREDI clients, managing chart audit services, and providing ongoing training programs for staff and providers.
An AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM Trainer, she conducts frequent training seminars for physicians and coders. Shannon is a member of AAPC and AHIMA, and she is the 2015 President of the Austin, TX, chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Her professional certifications include Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-Based, Certified Professional Medical Auditor, Certified in Healthcare Compliance.
Chief Technology Officer
Patrick is a software engineering expert with broad experience in all aspects of system design, application development, and product management. For nearly two decades he has developed client-server, web, and cloud solutions from the ground up, specializing in creating practical user-friendly solutions that boost productivity, streamline workflow, increase business intelligence, and maximize net profitability. Most recently he has poured all of that know-how into designing and developing PUREDI’s cloud-based, customized platform for revenue cycle management and practice management.
Patrick holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Central Florida. He started his career developing a web application to provide public inquiry access to the division of licensing public records for the Florida Department of State. He moved on to develop a LAN-based network management software as a Senior Software Engineer for ISR Global Telecom.
During a nearly eight-year tenure as VP of Engineering at CollaborateMD, Patrick oversaw production of a leading SaaS-based practice management and billing software. In that role he was responsible for driving product innovation and directing engineering teams which included development, production, and quality assurance. He designed numerous tools that optimized office and financial workflow, improved collaboration, and increased automation and business intelligence. He led seamless integration projects with numerous HIT vendors and improved high availability by migrating applications and infrastructure to a clustered architecture.
Today, Patrick oversees all technical and development aspects of the platform and continues to push the boundaries of what the product can do.
Lori Gainer joined PUREDI in 2014 as Operations Manager, a role that requires working across the span of practice specialties managed by PUREDI. In accepting the position of Operations Manager, Lori brought her extensive management experience to a new industry after a 20+ career in management at the largest grocery retailer in Texas, H-E-B.
In addition to many placements within store management, Lori progressed through the ranks of H-E-B to Regional Implementation Manager for the company’s automated inventory management system before accepting a role within the corporate office in San Antonio. Her role as Process and Change-Management Specialist within H-E-B’s corporate structure provided her with technical-writing, project management, and large-scale process management skills.
Lori holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a M.Div. from Austin
Presbyterian Theological Seminary and is an active minister within Austin’s downtown communities.
Robert Harding joined PUREDI in 2011 as Accounts Processing Manager, A veteran of the U.S. Army, Robert has transferred his strong organizational skills to a career in the medical billing and coding field. He earned an Associates Degree in Intelligence Operations from Cochise College in Sierra Vista, AZ, in addition to a more recent certification in the medical billing and coding program at Virginia College of Austin, TX. He is a member of AAPC and a certified coder, currently serving as the Education Coordinator for the Austin chapter of AAPC.
Having served as an interpreter during his military tenure, Robert is fluent in German, Russian and Serbian-Croatian. He comprehends new systems quickly and deftly manages many moving parts in his current position at PUREDI. He is responsible for training new employees on our foundational processes and procedures as well as managing a team that processes multiple critical medical billing functions in a high volume setting.
