Once again, PUREDI is listed among Austin’s Top Women-Owned Businesses for 2018. The Austin Business Journal’s (ABJ) annual list comprises a myriad of industries and services of the largest employers and largest companies. To be eligible, firms must be at least 51 percent women owned with a headquarters in the Austin area. The ABJ relies on surveys and Inc. 5000 data. “We are proud to be listed along with some incredible women-owned businesses in our area,” says Kathy Campbell, President and CEO of the 21 year old software and services company.
For those participating in the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) during 2018 as an individual, group, or virtual group CMS’s Quality Payment Program Hardship Exception Application for the Promoting Interoperability (PI) performance category (formerly Advancing Care Information) is now available. If the hardship exception is approved, CMS will re-weight your PI performance category score to 0% of the final score and reallocate the 25% weighting of the PI performance category to the Quality performance category. You qualify to submit the Exception Application if you meet one of following reasons:
• Small practices (new for 2018)
• Using decertified EHR technology (new for 2018)
• Insufficient Internet connectivity
• Extreme and uncontrollable circumstances
• Lack of control over the availability of certified electronic health record technology
The application must be submitted to CMS by Dec. 31, 2018.
